Overview

LuminAir is now additionally available in the form of a ventilation kit. The IPX7 unit is installed directly over a shower in complete safety.

Vent-Axia LuminAir extracts moisture and humidity at source, preventing damaging condensation from spreading. At the same time it bathes the shower enclosure in a rich soft light - bringing any dark shower to life. Ideal for all types of bathroom and shower applications, and is particularly suitable for bedsit and ensuite shower installations.

Product Specification

LuminAir Turbo Ventilation Kit For applications where a more powerful system is required. The kit comprises a LuminAir Turbo L or T mains fan and SELV light, choice of bezel, 90° bend, 6 metres of flexible duct, quick fix wall grille and four cable ties. Meets Building Regulations (Document F) performance assuming ductwork provided is fully extended and one 90° bend.

LuminAir Turbo SKL Provides simultaneous On and Off operation of the fan and light from the bathroom light switch.

LuminAir Turbo SKT Switches the fan On with the light. When the light is switched Off, the fan continues to run for an adjustable fixed period to meet the Building Regulations for internal bathrooms.

Typical Specifications

Supply and install a Luminair in-line fan and light kit combination as manufactured by Vent-Axia Ltd, Fleming Way, Crawley, West Sussex, RH10 9YX, Telephone: 01293 526062. When installed the light complies with the 16th edition of IEE Regulations (BS7671), 2001) and an on site guide for Safety Extra Low Voltage (SELV) operation. The transformer should be safety insulating to BS EN 60742. The fan and transformer should be BEAB Approved.

The fan should meet the installed performance of the Building Regulation (Document F) Requirements - 15 litres a second for bathrooms and 6 litres for toilets, (15 minute timer overrun model for internal rooms).

The motor should be manufactured with self aligning sleeve bearings and fitted with Standard Thermal Overload Protection, (S.T.O.P.) the motor should be insulated to Class B.
