![]() OverviewThe HR500EP unit is designed for mounting in an external wall. The unit has no fans fitted and is ideal for systems where centrifugal in-line fans are used to overcome increased external static pressure from long duct runs or multiple grille applications.The unit incorporates a polymer heat exchanger in a light weight plastic enclosure with two spigots for easy ducting connection.The unit maintains the separation of extracted air and fresh air supply whilst transferring up to 70% of the waste heat from extracted foul air. Performance of HR500EP: Up to 880m³/h FID capacity (balanced airflow). Ideal for computer rooms, classrooms, offices and the health & leisure industries. InstallationThe HR500EP unit is designed for mounting in an external wall and should be fitted to provide a 3° slope to outside to provide condensate drainage.The unit has no fans fitted and is ideal for systems where centrifugal in-line fans are used to overcome increased external static pressure from long-duct runs or multiple-grille applications. Efficiency: The unit should retain up to 70% of the temperature differential of out going air. Heat exchanger: Should be of a multi plate cross-flow type constructed out of a polymeric plastic with ultra sonic welded joints. Fan: As a passive device the unit shall require 2No additional remote in-line fans.These should typically be Vent-Axia in-line centrifugal type fan. Ducting spigots: The unit should provide 315, 250 and 200mm Ø spigots for both duct connections.The unit cannot be handed. Filter: Should be a washable reticulated foam type coarse filter. Condensation: The outlet provided should be 22mm Ø located on the lower side of the unit. Construction: The unit outer case should be a rigid HIPs moulding configured so as to make the unit telescopic.The external grille and the spigot plate should be a cream coloured ABS moulding.
