Vent-Axia Launches Energy Efficient Radiant Heating

Vent-Axia, a leader in HEVAC technology, has introduced an energy efficient range of radiant heaters. The launch further expands Vent-Axia’s existing heating portfolio, which already includes portable products, electric underfloor heating, and renewable technology, such as ground source and air source heat pumps.

The new radiant heaters allow Vent-Axia the flexibility to offer solutions for large and small hard to treat unheated spaces where it would be too uneconomical to use traditional space heating. For example, the heaters are ideal for external areas such as restaurant patios and terraces as well as large spaces with high ceilings, such as warehouses or churches.

The advantage of using radiant heaters in these applications is that they offer efficient precision heating. The heat we feel from the sun is produced by infrared rays and is called radiant heat, radiant heating works in the same way. Featuring short wave Infrared halogen lamps the radiant heaters produce rays that cut through the air and are not affected by air movement, only turning their energy into heat when the rays hit a solid object. The rays travel in straight lines and can be directed where they are needed.

Vent-Axia’s new radiant heating range includes the robust VARO1800 which is ideal for both internal and external mounting. Boasting an IP65 classification, the highest rated product currently available on the market, the VARO1800 is designed to be resistant to dust and jets of water giving peace of mind that the product will perform even when exposed to the elements. With an output of 1.8kW (1800W) thanks to its tungsten filament in a welded quartz tube, the VARO has a radiant efficiency of 92% and can provide a heating coverage of 8-10m².

Meanwhile, for internal applications Vent-Axia offers three radiant heaters in the range. These include the VARI2000 radiant heater which features a single element, has 2kW (2000W) output and provides coverage of up to 12m². The VARI4000 has two elements, an output of 4kW (4000W) covering an area of up to 16m². Lastly, for larger applications there is the VARI6000, featuring three elements, an output of 6kW (6000W) and providing a coverage of up to 20m².

With a one second heat up time, the radiant heaters offer almost instant heat ensuring it is available when needed. Providing people with good thermal comfort the heaters are invisible and silent in operation too. Economical and easy to install the radiant heaters have up to 5000 hours element life span.

Offering installation flexibility all four radiant heaters come with a wall mounting bracket and are also capable of being suspended by chains, allowing the units the versatility to provide heating in the space required.
