Vent-Axia Flies A Winning Flag For Britain

The UK Crawley-based air management expert Vent-Axia has continued its commitment to supporting British sport this year with the sponsorship of local rider Tommy Hill, who rides for leading team Worx Crescent Suzuki in the British Superbikes (BSB) Championship. So far the collaboration has been a great success, three events into the 12-event series, Tommy Hill is comfortably leading the title chase by 51 points. However, Tommy Hill is taking nothing for granted with the next round of the Championships set for Cadwell Park only two weeks’ away (21/22/23 May) and his competitors keen to close the points deficit.

Hill’s results so far this season include two wins and three second places, most recently taking second and third place finishes at Oulton Park at the beginning of May. But, with nine of his rivals having secured top three results already, the season looks set to become tougher as Hill becomes the one they need to beat to close the points deficit.

Hill said: “I do feel like the pressure is on me as I am the one with the advantage to lose at the moment. Everyone says it is on the riders who are trying to close the gap but I am the one with the most to lose now I have the lead in the standings. We have had a fantastic start to the season and the Worx Crescent Suzuki team has worked hard to get us in the position of an early lead but we need to remain consistent and keep collecting the podium credits as these will be so critical if you are in the top six when we get to the Showdown.”

The British Superbikes Championship takes place at 12 circuits across the country, culminating at Oulton Park from 8-10 October for the showdown.
