Vent-Axia, a leader in low carbon technology, is celebrating winning the Air Movement Product of Year category in this year’s prestigious H&V News Awards. Scooping the industry award for its revolutionary Lo-Carbon Tempra, the company received the accolade last night at an awards ceremony held at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London.

Journalist Frankie Snobel was used to writing features about green technology and Part L, but wanted to get involved even deeper in the global challenge to combat carbon. With the support of many key electrical industry sponsors, including Vent-Axia, Frankie headed to the Manu Biosphere Reserve in the Peruvian Amazon to work as a rainforest conservation volunteer. Her goal was not only to get involved with the gruelling conservation work taking place, but to also report on the effects deforestation and climate change are having on the environment.

Vent-Axia, a leader in low carbon ventilation, has launched its first online Continuing Professional Development (CPD) module. Entitled ‘Part F and Part L of the Building Regulations 2010’, the new free online module explains how the legislation affects ventilation and is accredited by the Construction CPD Certification Service.

Hosted by the CIPHE’s Sussex Branch at St Francis Sports & Social Club, Haywards Heath, from 7pm onwards, the technical workshop will be presented by Peter Smith, Specialist Sales & Training Manager at Vent-Axia.
