Changes to SAP calculations set to boost the adoption of continuous centralised ventilation systems.
The amendments, due to be launched in January 2012, have been given the green light by the Department of Energy & Climate Change and will reduce the current conservative performance ratings given to this ventilation technology when it is installed by a competent person.

Vent-Axia has opened its new technology showroom, together with BPEC (British Plumbing Employers Council (Training) Ltd) approved training centre, located at its head office in Crawley, West Sussex.

Vent-Axia has introduced a new range of handling units featuring heat recovery technology and an A+ energy class efficiency rating.
The eViking units are available with outputs ranging from 3.47m³/s to 16.13m³ - the company claims at 3m/s an air-handling unit with a section area of 7x6 will provide an airflow output of 12.11m³/s.

Affordable housing provider Gentoo has specified Vent-Axia's Lo-Carbon Centra extract fans for several new build developments in the North East of England.
Lo-Carbon Centra extract fans are designed to save energy and provide a comfortable indoor environment for residents.
Investment from the Homes and Communities Agency, provided as part of the Government's Kick Start funding scheme, has enabled Gentoo to create local affordable housing.
